There are a few important guidelines regarding certificates and degrees: • For students to earn two certificates within the same field, there must be at least nine credit hours of difference between the two certificate programs. • For degrees, if a student is pursuing a second degree, they are required to complete 15 additional credit hours that were not part of their first degree. • However, if a certificate is nested within a degree, the student can receive both credentials.
